Distance: ~1 mile. Blegh.
Well, my first run after awhile. A LONG while. I guess I've never really had any running training to speak of, but back in high school, I used to be able to at least run awhile without my legs feeling like jelly. I ran about half the distance in total. Well, more like a brisk jog, but still. Better than nothing. My lungs felt like they were burning for the first few minutes, and I am almost turned around there, but I stuck through it and eventually that went away.
Overall, it felt pretty good. I want to do this more, as I know how badly I'm out of shape. Karate practice just isn't enough. I just hope I don't destroy my knees. :(
No pain to speak of just yet, just the jelly-like feeling in the legs.
Goal for next time: the full 1.4 miles I planned to do today.
